Practical Vocational Training Programme
At C&A Friedlander, we are committed to developing talented future attorneys through a structured and supportive Practical Vocational Training Programme.
Our Candidate Attorneys are exposed to a broad range of practice areas, gain meaningful hands-on experience and work closely with our professionals from the outset. We look for individuals who are motivated, responsible and passionate about building a career in the legal profession.
What to Expect:
- Practical experience in the day-to-day operation of an established, full-service law firm
- Guidance and mentorship from experienced legal practitioners across various fields of law
- Integration into a welcoming and supportive working environment where professional growth is encouraged
- Study leave, support for LEAD classes and payment of board examination fees
- Opportunities to attend additional training sessions, seminars and workshops

Vacation Work Programme
Our Vacation Work Programme gives law students the opportunity to gain practical insight into the legal profession and experience the working environment at C&A Friedlander Attorneys.
The programme is structured, interactive and designed to give students meaningful exposure to the practical aspects of legal work, while also introducing them to the people, practice areas and values that shape our firm.
Our upcoming Vacation Work Programme is open to students in their penultimate year of study.
What to Expect:
- Insight into the work undertaken by Candidate Attorneys and legal practitioners, including court visits, legal research and drafting
- Presentations and interactive sessions with professionals from different practice areas within C&A Friedlander Attorneys
- Exposure to the day-to-day workings of a full-service law firm
- Opportunities to engage with our professionals and learn more about a career in law
- A mock trial as part of the programme
